First signs of snow

It may only be September but winter is starting to set in across Europe. Over the past week there have been early snowfalls across the Alps and even the Scottish Highlands.

It’s looking pretty wintery in the Alps today after snow fell right down to 1200m overnight.

The first Scottish snow of the season fell on the summit of Glencoe on Sunday, and Cairngorm got its first dusting yesterday.

As with all early season snow, it won’t be set to stay, but it’s enough to get us excited about the ski season, which is fast approaching!

It’s all uphill from here…!
